TLDR: We do everything we can to get your order there on time, but delivery dates are estimates and carrier delays can happen. If you're ordering for an event, give yourself a 1–2 day cushion and check the product page for storage tips. Saturday delivery isn't available in all areas, and we're not able to correct delays caused by incomplete shipping information once an order is in transit.
Getting great food to your door — on time and in perfect condition — is something we take seriously. We work closely with our partner shops and carriers to make that happen, and the vast majority of orders arrive exactly as planned. Occasionally, though, delivery dates can shift due to circumstances outside anyone's control.
Carrier Delays
Once your order leaves one of our partner shops, it travels via FedEx or UPS. We plan every shipment around the standard arrival windows those carriers provide — but factors like high package volume, weather, mechanical issues, strikes, or carrier service disruptions can affect transit. Sometimes an order moves faster than expected and arrives a day early, which is rarely a bad thing.
One thing worth double-checking before you place your order: your shipping address. Incomplete or inaccurate addresses are one of the more common causes of delivery delays, and unfortunately those are outside our ability to correct once a package is in transit.
Scheduling in Advance
A little planning goes a long way, especially when food is part of a celebration. We recommend scheduling delivery at least 1–2 days before you need it — most of our products can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer for later use, so check the Instructions/Storage section on the product page to get the most out of what you ordered.
Peak Seasons
During busy periods — holidays especially — we may ship your order a little earlier than originally scheduled to make sure it arrives in good condition rather than caught in a carrier backlog. Goldbelly reserves the right to adjust arrival timing, earlier or later, based on operational conditions.
Saturday Deliveries
We offer Saturday delivery in most areas, but coverage can be limited in rural locations. If your address falls outside standard service zones, your delivery date may need to shift. We'll do our best to keep you informed if that's the case.
A few notes: We don't require a signature for most deliveries. Orders containing alcohol are the exception — those do require one, and it will be noted on the product page. Where a package is left — at your door or elsewhere on the property — is ultimately the carrier's call, and outside our control.
