We always recommend that purchasers send tracking information along to their recipient, so they may be able to start planning for yummy deliciousness. You can also include your recipient's email address during check-out, so they receive email updates regarding their delivery.
Carrier Discretion
It is the sole responsibility of the customer to notify a gift recipient of a pending delivery. While we do not require a signature for most of our packages, FedEx and UPS drivers will only leave the package at a recipient's door, or other secure location, if the driver believes it is 'safe' and reasonable to do so.
If the recipient is not available to receive the delivery and FedEx determines the delivery location is not ‘safe,’ Goldbelly is not responsible for a damaged product and/or additional shipping fees.
Adult Signature (21+)
For packages from Tipsy Scoop or Solid Wiggles, an adult signature upon delivery is required, therefore the driver will not leave the package at the door if no one is home to sign.
An adult signature (21+) is required upon delivery for packages containing alcohol; packages will not be left at the door. Deliveries will be made between 8am-10pm local time. Goldbelly is not responsible for packages that require a signature but are not delivered because no one is home to sign.
For the future, we suggest looking into our e-gift items. This relieves the pressure of selecting the wrong delivery date or address, as the recipient will be able to pick them.
